Join The Wildlings & Georgian Bay Wildlife for a day filled with adventure and fresh, just boiled, yummy maple syrup.

Time & Location
Mar 28, 2020, 9:30 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
The Glen Huron Inn, 1977 Simcoe County Rd 124, Glen Huron, ON L0M 1L0, Canada
About the event
Join us for a packed day of learning while tapping 100 year old sugar maples with traditional hand augurs. Since the ratio of sap to syrup is 40-1 we have to burn a lot of sap to get a little syrup. We will spend the day stoking a beautiful fire with an open face boiling pan. The children will also learn about the different grades of syrup. While we wait for the perfect syrup we will explore Georgian Wildlife's personals trails with views of Duntroon. We will also explore a spring fed creek, learn and discover a tiny home, drink delicious hot chocolate, with homemade chicken noodle soup and spider dogs!
BONUS! Your child will be able to take home 125mL jar of syrup they help make to share with family & friends.
Age Group: 5-12 years.
